Mena Alexandera Suvari is an American actor, model and fashion designer. Born on 13 February 1979. Soon after her first job as a model, she moved into acting, after appearing as a guest on 90's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. In 1997, she made her debut as a film actress in Nowhere. With her performances in American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated to receive a BAFTA Award - and American Pie and American Pie, which earned more attention from the public as she stepped into more prominent roles. The actress has appeared in American Pie's Co-Star Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) before starring as the lead character for the film Sugar & Spice (2001). The year 2002 saw her appeared in Spun the drama that was made by an independent studio and in 2004's thriller Trauma. The other films she appeared in include HBO's comedy Six Feet Under. In 2008, she was featured in several movies like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the film adaption of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been featured on various fashion websites as well as in magazines such as Vogue and Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. Suvari has been a defender and a defender of The African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious charity that offers relief to Africa. In addition, she has been involved on issues of empowerment and empowerment of women as well as charities which promote research into breast cancer and End Violence Against Women.
